Wednesday, May 8th

I hope you are all having a great week! I apologize in advance for the lack of pictures. With the hustle of today, it completely slipped my mind.

Don’t forget about the Shakespeare play performance which is tomorrow night…

And a quick reminder for Apraxia Awareness day…

A couple of quick reminders:
·      Tomorrow is a Day 3.
·      Aftercare invoices are due Wednesday, May 15th; if you are unsure if you have any owing amount, please email Ms. Chiappetta at echiappetta@stjudesacademy.com
·      Re-registration is now open to the public; if you have not submitted your package – please do so as soon as possible and reach out with any questions.
·      We are now wearing full summer uniforms. A reminder:
o  Black dress shoes
o  Navy blue socks
o  Grey St. Jude’s pants
o  Short sleeve button up white polo shirt (tucked in)

French – We started the day by having students work on their French projects for their upcoming presentations.

After this, we went to the dome to start our rehearsals for The Wizard of Oz.

Inquiry into Math – Students began working on the Show What You Knowsection in their math textbooks to start reviewing for our upcoming test for Transformational Geometry. Right now, the test is scheduled next Thursday, May 16th.

Some students finished their rotational symmetry art!

Inquiry into Language – Today, we read the final chapter of Hatchet. We started our final project as well, which is to write a news article about Brian’s rescue. Packages have been sent home – please have a read through. We are working on this in class over this week and next – this project is to be done entirely in class.

And that’s a wrap for our day!

For homework:
·      Read language summative packages with parents (due tomorrow)
·      Coding mini-project #3 (due Friday)
·      Practice for Wizard of Oz
All homework for the day is placed here, but time may have been given in class to complete this work.

As always, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns by email, and I will respond as quickly as possible.

Mr. Conte
