I hope you’ve all had a fantastic week. Tomorrow is the start of our 4-day long weekend!
A message from your friendly neighbourhood librarian…
A couple of quick reminders:
· Tuesday is a Day 3.
· Aftercare invoices are now overdue – they were due yesterday, Wednesday, May 15th; if you are unsure if you have any owing amount, please email Ms. Chiappetta at echiappetta@stjudesacademy.com
· Re-registration is now open to the public; if you have not submitted your package – please do so as soon as possible and reach out with any questions.
· We are now wearing full summer uniforms. A reminder:
o Black dress shoes
o Navy blue socks
o Grey St. Jude’s pants
o Short sleeve button up white polo shirt (tucked in)
Inquiry into Language – Students worked on their rough copies for their Hatchetsummative and did their peer edits today. Now that the rough copies and peer edits have been completed, students will complete their good copies over the weekend. These will be due on Tuesday.
French – In the afternoon, we had French with Mme. Rawan, which you can read about on her blog (https://mmerawansja.blogspot.com).
Inquiry into Math – Today, we wrote our final unit test for our Transformational Geometryunit.
Inquiry into Coding – During coding, we started looking at the changes we’ve seen in technology through the years and discussing our perspectives on technology. For example, phones make our lives easier because we can take them with us anywhere. But that being said, are phones taking away the social aspect of living? We started our fourth mini-project, which is a timeline creation.
For homework:
· Coding mini-project #4 (due Tuesday)
· Hatchet summative good copy (due Tuesday)
· Spelling Lesson #31 (due Tuesday)
· Athletics field trip permission form
All homework for the day is placed here, but time may have been given in class to complete this work.
As always, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns by email, and I will respond as quickly as possible.
Mr. Conte
