Thursday, May 30

I hope everyone is enjoying their week. There are 11 school days left after today.

As I’m sure you are all aware, we host a summer camp at St. Jude’s. Please see the flyer for more information:

A couple of quick reminders:
·      Tomorrow is a Day 5.
·      Aftercare invoices are overdue. They were due Wednesday, May 15th; if you are unsure if you have any owing amount, please email Ms. Chiappetta at echiappetta@stjudesacademy.com
·      Re-registration is now open to the public; if you have not submitted your package – please do so as soon as possible and reach out with any questions.
·      We are now wearing full summer uniforms. A reminder:
o  Black dress shoes
o  Navy blue socks
o  Grey St. Jude’s pants
o  Short sleeve button up white polo shirt (tucked in)

Today, interspersed throughout the day, we had a few presentations from the grade sixes as part of their summative. They talked about online privacy and how to ensure we’re being safe online. Excellent work grade sixes!

Music – Then, we had music with Mr. Oliver, which you can read about on his blog (https://mrolivermusicclass.blogspot.com).

French – In the afternoon, we had French with Mme. Rawan, which you can read about on her blog (https://mmerawansja.blogspot.com).

Inquiry into Coding – During coding today, some students worked on their race tracks, some worked on their mazes, and some started working on their summative tasks. We will be working on the summatives more tomorrow. We did coding throughout the day as well.

Inquiry into Language – We completed the second section of our DRAs today, which was the reading portion and will finish them tomorrow morning.

For homework:
·      Mini-project #6 (if not submitted)
·      Study for spelling test
·      Math review (due tomorrow)
All homework for the day is placed here, but time may have been given in class to complete this work.

As always, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns by email, and I will respond as quickly as possible.

Mr. Conte
