I hope you are all having a fantastic week. We are approaching a 4-day weekend (Friday is a P.D. day and Monday is Victoria Day).
A message from your friendly neighbourhood librarian…
A couple of quick reminders:
· Tomorrow is a Day 2 – we do NOT have gym or music tomorrow.
· Aftercare invoices are due TODAY Wednesday, May 15th; if you are unsure if you have any owing amount, please email Ms. Chiappetta at echiappetta@stjudesacademy.com
· Re-registration is now open to the public; if you have not submitted your package – please do so as soon as possible and reach out with any questions.
· We are now wearing full summer uniforms. A reminder:
o Black dress shoes
o Navy blue socks
o Grey St. Jude’s pants
o Short sleeve button up white polo shirt (tucked in)
We started the day with our assembly where we learned more about people with Apraxia. It was very informative and fun.
Inquiry into Math – Today, we worked on a math review for our test tomorrow and took it up as a class. It served as a mock-test for us. If it took longer than 1 hour to work on the review, then students know that means they need to study more tonight. I have posted the review, answers, and materials below for review.
French – In the afternoon, we had French with Mme. Rawan, which you can read about on her blog (https://mmerawansja.blogspot.com).
Inquiry into Language – We spent the day working on our summative projects for Hatchet. We completed our rough work for today and will be writing rough copies tomorrow so we can write good copies over the weekend.
For homework:
· Study for math test TOMORROW
All homework for the day is placed here, but time may have been given in class to complete this work.
As always, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns by email, and I will respond as quickly as possible.
Mr. Conte
