Friday, May 31st

I hope everyone has had an amazing week. Can you believe there are only 10 school days left?!

With summer just around the corner, what better way for your children to spend the summer than here at SJA?! SJA Summer camp registrations were sent home earlier this year. We are offering 7 weeks of summer fun with a minimum of 3 excursions per week. There are lunch and snack options and before and after care are available. Register before it is too late! Ms. Hughes would be happy to answer any questions you may have. She can be reached at bsmith@stjudesacademy.com

A couple of quick reminders:
·      Monday is a Day 6.
·      Aftercare invoices are overdue. They were due Wednesday, May 15th; if you are unsure if you have any owing amount, please email Ms. Chiappetta at echiappetta@stjudesacademy.com
·      Aftercare invoices for the month of May are coming out this Saturday, June 1st. Any aftercare invoices that are unpaid by the end of the year will result in the term three report card being withheld.
·      Library books were due back today to the library. Please ensure that if your child has any books at home that are from St. Jude’s that they are promptly returned.

Inquiry into Language – This morning, we started with our spelling test for lesson 33. After this, we worked on our DRAs for term three! Any students who have already completed their DRAs moved onto their coding summative.

Inquiry into Math – For math, we did a comprehensive review for our test on Monday. First, we took up the review that was sent home yesterday to ensure everyone has an understanding.

N.B. On the math review, the table in question 6 is written using metres and seconds, but it should be written using kilometres and hours. I apologize for the typo.

Our final unit test is this coming Monday, June 3rd.

Inquiry into Coding – During coding today, we discussed the summative and what the expectation will be. Next week will be a very big week for the summative before the final submission on Monday, June 10th.

For homework:
·      Study for math test (on Monday)
·      Spelling corrections week 33 (due Monday)
All homework for the day is placed here, but time may have been given in class to complete this work.

As always, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns by email, and I will respond as quickly as possible.
