Good afternoon everyone!
Happy Thursday…and happy long
weekend! Tomorrow is a P.D. day, so students will not be in school tomorrow.
This morning, the students started
off with gym with Mr. Orr, which you can read about on his blog (link on the
left). The students went to the dome for their very first time! After this, we
did our spelling test, and then it was off to music with Mr. Oliver (his blog
link is also on the left).
In the afternoon, we had French,
which you can read about on Mme. Rawan’s blog (link on the left).
After this, it was the long
anticipated International Day! We went around to other classes to see all the
other countries first before inviting parents in to come and see all the hard
work we’ve done. We really hope you enjoyed coming in and seeing our inquiry as
much as we enjoyed doing it. Thank you to everyone who came out to see us and
enjoy some food.
After this, our week was done! I
hope you all have a wonderful weekend and Thanksgiving. If students have any
questions regarding homework, or you have any questions or concerns, please feel
free to reach out to me, and I will do my best to get back as soon as possible.
For homework:
- · Math Makes Sense worksheet, pages 2 & 3
- · Read chapters 8 & 9 of Percy Jackson, and answer the comprehension questions.
- · Read the matter summative package (I will send a follow up email regarding this).
A couple of quick reminders:
- · A letter was sent home regarding the Caribou math contest. This is an optional contest for those who wish to take part in a math challenge. Please feel free to read through and email with any questions.
- · A letter was sent home regarding upcoming unit phone calls. Please fill out and return to me by Tuesday so I can know when/how best to contact you.
- · This upcoming Friday, October 5th, we have a P.D. day, and Monday is Thanksgiving, so students have an extra long weekend.
- · Starting next week, students need to wear their winter uniform, so ALL 7 pieces.
As always, please feel free to
reach out to me with any questions or concerns by email, and I will respond as
quickly as possible.
Mr. Conte
