Tuesday, May 5th

Good morning everyone!

The week is finally here – three more days and then exhibition! Throughout the day today, we will hear presentations from ALL groups. Each group will receive feedback on how they can enhance their presentations. Hopefully, by the end of this practice, you will see what work still needs to be done for your presentation.

I hope everyone is making progress in tracking down their uniform pieces as you will need to be in full uniform, i.e. button-down shirt, academic tie, and blazer. Also, choose the best spot to present from in your home – a place that is uncluttered, has good lighting, and excellent WiFi connectivity. We will begin practicing presenting this way soon.

In case you didn’t already know, St. Jude’s Academy is putting together our first yearbook spanning from JK to Grade 12 for the 2019-2020 academic year. This inaugural issue will be something all students and their families will treasure. The cost is $20 per full-colour, hardcover yearbook. The deadline to order is May 15. To order your copy contact:  admin@stjudesacademy.com

SJA Yearbook Sponsorship opportunities are available. We will accept a limited number of ads (10 pages) from businesses, groups and families in our SJA Community to help off-set this publication. Design included if required. Deadline to order is May 15. The space options are as follows: Full Page  (7.5” x 8”) $500 or Half Page (7. 5”x 4”) $250.  To place an Ad contact: csawatsky@stjudesacademy.com

Check out Emana’s action project. She created a Scratch game that shows the different perspectives on homelessness.

A few messages from SJA:

Today’s epic challenge is to build the best blanket fort you can.  Show us your construction genius as you take us on a tour of your fort with video.  Remember to send Mr. Neal your video – sneal@stjudesacademy.com – oh and see the picture for one of Mr. Neal’s most favourite quotes.

Ensure your videos are submitted to Mr. Neal before 11:59 p.m. tonight (sneal@stjudesacademy.com) or on wetransfer.com.
