A few quick reminders:
·      Tomorrow is a Day 6.
·      Aftercare invoices for the month of January have come out and were due Saturday, February 15th, 2020. Any questions can be directed to Ms. Chiappetta at echiappetta@stjudesacademy.com
·      The lunch site is now open for the month of March! It will be open until Wednesday, February 26th at 3:00 p.m. sharp. The special for the month is French Toast with Whipped Cream and Syrup. Please remember not to order on Wednesday, March 4th as we are skiing. Any questions can be directed to Ms. Gandy at sgandy@stjudesacademy.com

We started the day by having an assembly for anti-bullying day!

Inquiry into Math – After this, we reviewed the homework from yesterday. Relative frequency (experimental probability) is the number of times an outcome occurs divided by the number of times an experiment was conducted. For example, if I roll a die 10 times and it lands on ‘3’ 5 of those times, the experimental probability is 5/10 (0.5, 50%).

Students will work on the mid-unit review tonight to practice lessons one and two.

Inquiry into Canada in the World – After this, we discussed what needs to be reviewed for the test on Friday.

French – After this, the students had French with Mme. Stella, which you can read about on her blog (https://stjudesfrench-stella.blogspot.com).

Inquiry into Language – We wrote our OWA for Term Two.

Inquiry into Canada in the World – For the remainder of the day, students began working on their brochures. A reminder of the summative: Students will choose a developing nation with an HDI less than 0.55 and create a brochure for this country. This brochure will contain: physical features, economic features, political features, social features, what the country has to offer in terms of trade and services, and the HDI and needs of the country. They will use this brochure next week at the Ambassador’s Tea Party, where they will meet with other world leaders and talk about the needs of their country and try to find a country who can help them with these needs.

Students began working on their brochures using their research today and will complete them tomorrow.

Homework:

We do our best to complete work in class. In the event this is not possible, it will go home for homework.

As always, please feel free to email me with any questions.
