Thursday, February 28th

I hope everyone has been having a good day. 6 more school days until March break!

A couple of quick reminders:
·      Tomorrow is a Day 2 – students should come dressed in regular school day uniforms as they are working in class for gym on their health summative.
·      Permission forms were sent home today for our Scientists in the School workshop on April 18th. These forms are due back by next Friday, March 8th– no exceptions.
·      Aftercare invoices were due on February 15th; if you are unsure if you have any owing amount, please email Ms. Chiappetta at echiappetta@stjudesacademy.com
·      Re-registration is now open to the public; if you have not submitted your package – please do so as soon as possible and reach out with any questions.
·      Permission forms were sent home for our trip to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. They are due no later than Wednesday, March 6th, 2019.

In the morning, we started the day with an anti-bullying assembly. We talked about the different types of bullying and then how bullying affects everyone. We also talked about why we wear the pink shirts.

In the afternoon, we went to see the grade ten personal projects.

Inquiry into Language – Today, we completed our last round of literature circles for the term. This has been quite a learning experience and we now have a foundation for term three.

Inquiry into Math – We took up our math review for our test tomorrow.

Inquiry into Government – Students continued working on their government summative tasks. We will continue this work tomorrow.

For homework:
·      Study for math test (tomorrow)
·      Study for spelling test (tomorrow)
·      Complete page 1 of irregular verbs for French (due tomorrow)
All homework for the day is placed here, but time may have been given in class to complete this work.

As always, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns by email, and I will respond as quickly as possible.

Mr. Conte
