Mr. Conte's Grade 6 Class: Math Road So Far...

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to post a math review of this unit so far!

Action!

Many people think that Action is easy to define. It is something you do, right? But Action is much more than that. Action is a part of who we are. If we want to change the world, we need to start with changing ourselves. But sometimes change is hard. How do we make changes to the way we think so we can help the world?

If we want children to make a difference in the world, we need to help them personalize the action they take, and understand that it is not just a mandate from their teachers and parents, but a lifelong mindset they develop.

Taking action can happen at any age. It’s all about how we as parents, educators, and the community, support children and youth as they begin the learning journey towards becoming adults that are change agents!

If your child performs action at home, please send me a quick email or agenda note to let me know and they will be placed on our action wall of fame!

Lunch Menu

Everyday items:

· Side of rice

· Side of fries (cooked in an air fryer)

· Veggies and dip

· Crackers and cheese

· Cheese sandwich on white bread or whole wheat

· Jam sandwich on white bread or whole wheat

· Veggie Wrap

· Turkey Wrap

· Bagel and cream cheese

· Soup (Tomato or Chicken noodle)

· Chocolate or White milk

· Apple or Orange juice

· Yogurt tube

· Healthy choice cookie (Halal)

Monday – Penne with sauce or butter OR Grilled Cheese on white bread

Tues. – Chicken fingers (2 or 3) OR Chicken Tacos (2 or 3)

Weds. – Cheese OR Pepperoni Pizza

Thurs. – Hotdog (beef or chicken) OR Hamburger (beef or veggie) OR Veggie Pasta

Fri. – Macaroni and cheese OR Cheese Quesadillas (2 or 3) OR Special of the month

February Special – Chicken Stir Fry

March Special - French Toast with Whipped Cream and Syrup
