Tuesday, April 21st

Good morning everyone!

Our focus for this week continues to be the final push to complete Sections 16 – 20 of the Exhibition Planner – the math, French, arts, and action components, and The Primary Source by this Thursday, April 23rd. That means you have only 3 more days to get this done.

A few quick messages from St. Jude’s:

A quick message from Mr. Neal about our daily challenge: Play the cards you’re dealt – in this case, the whole deck.  It’s time to build a House of Cards.  Take a video of you building a house of cards that is at least 3 levels high. Bonus points will go to the student with the highest house of cards. Email your video to Mr. Neal sneal@stjudesacademy.com.

A couple of groups have completed their surveys and we are asking for you and your parents to take some time to complete them. They will not take long:

Newer Surveys:

Older Surveys:
Please take time to read Sofia and Aamna’s Action Component Daily Blog Messages About Homeless and Neglected Children
How we help.
Homeless Children: Did you know some people volunteer for charities just to help homeless children. If you are wondering what they donate, they donate stuff like food, clothes, books, and sometimes toys for the children to play with. Some organizations like the homeless hub have devoted their lives to helping these homeless children by creating websites to inform more people about homeless children, providing shelter to those who need it, and even starting fundraisers and collecting money to buy supplies for homeless children and their families.
Neglected Children: One of the best ways to help a neglected child is to understand what is going on in their personal lives. You can provide mental health services for these children and providing affordable access to children with quality healthcare. Increasing public awareness efforts to inform people about child neglect can help the world understand what these children are going through. Providing affection and guidance and helping kids cope and build resiliency can help the kids feel comforted and they can start trusting people.
Please refer to the schedule below to know where to be and what document to be working on at various times of the day.

During the exhibition process, specialist teachers (Mr. Orr, Mr. Oliver, Mme. Stella) will help facilitate learning for each of the exhibition groups during their scheduled class times. A quick message from Mr. Oliver regarding instruments: Please make sure to clean your instrument thoroughly before using it. Work that is not completed during class time will need to be completed as homework. Students should put more focus into reading at this time. It is an expectation that students are reading between 30 and 60 minutes per day.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out so I can clarify and assist.
