I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far.

First and foremost – messages for parents.

A couple of quick reminders:

·      Re-registration is now open to the public; if you have not submitted your package – please do so as soon as possible and reach out with any questions.
·      Forms were sent home last week for the Silent Dance taking place on April 30th– the cost is $20.
·      Forms were sent home last week regarding our upcoming Wizard of Ozproduction. It will cost $15 per student (not in a main role) for costumes. These forms are due back Friday.
·      Scholastic order forms were sent home last week.

Inquiry into Biodiversity – Today, we started to end our biodiversity unit by discussing the impact of biodiversity on our planet. We had many insights as to why biodiversity is so important. For example, we breathe out carbon dioxide, and trees breathe in carbon dioxide and give us oxygen. We depend on each other to survive.

We also began an art piece using pastel. We recreated drawings of different scenes of biodiversity.

Then we had reading buddies!

French – In the afternoon, we had French with Mme. Rawan, which you can read about on her blog (https://mmerawansja.blogspot.com).

Inquiry into Math – We wrote our final unit test for Fractions today.

Inquiry into Biodiversity – We completed our art piece from the morning.

For homework:
·      Literature circles week 3 (due tomorrow)
·      Study for French and English spelling test
·      Practice Wizard of Oz
·      Silent Dance & Wizard of Oz forms
All homework for the day is placed here, but time may have been given in class to complete this work.

As always, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns by email, and I will respond as quickly as possible.

Mr. Conte
