Tuesday, April 30th

I hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far.

And a quick note regarding the exhibition projects in grade six…

And a note about our upcoming JK-Grade 2 Arts Night:

A couple of quick reminders:
·      Tomorrow is a Day 3.
·      Aftercare invoices were due Monday, April 15th; if you are unsure if you have any owing amount, please email Ms. Chiappetta at echiappetta@stjudesacademy.com
·      Re-registration is now open to the public; if you have not submitted your package – please do so as soon as possible and reach out with any questions.
·      Forms were sent home regarding our upcoming Wizard of Ozproduction. It will cost $15 per student (not in a main role) for costumes. These forms are overdue.
·      We are now wearing full summer uniforms. A reminder:
o  Black dress shoes
o  Navy blue socks
o  Grey St. Jude’s pants
o  Short sleeve button up white polo shirt (tucked in)

We went rock climbing this morning! This was so much fun and by far my favourite athletics trip we went on. Everyone did so well.

Inquiry into Coding – Today, we worked on creating our emails and accounts for our coding unit. I will be sending an email tonight to follow up with this. Going forward from now on, students must bring their devices every day for this unit. We are going to be doing quite a bit of work on them. They will also have to practice using these functions at home, so if they say they are doing homework on their devices, it could be true!

At the end of the day, we worked on remaining work: math worksheets, spelling lessons, and reading our Hatchet novels.

For homework:
·      MMS Pg. 100-103 (due tomorrow)
·      Spelling lesson 29 (due tomorrow)
·      Read chapter 17 of Hatchet (due tomorrow)
·      Literature circles self-assessment (due tomorrow)
·      BRING DEVICES
All homework for the day is placed here, but time may have been given in class to complete this work.

As always, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns by email, and I will respond as quickly as possible.

Mr. Conte
