I hope everyone has had a great week - it certainly has been a busy one in grade five.
A couple of quick reminders:
· Monday is Day 5.
· The lunch website has opened for the month of January – it will close on December 19that 3 p.m. The special for the month of January is French Toast with fruit. Please keep in mind the grade five classes are going skiing on Wednesday, January 23rd, so lunches should not be ordered for that day.
· Aftercare invoices are due on December 15th; if you are unsure if you have any owing amount, please email Ms. Chiappetta at echiappetta@stjudesacademy.com
· Pictures were sent home this week for the students who ordered them.
· Our grades 3 – 6 Christmas concert is this Tuesday, December 18that 12:30 p.m., and 7 p.m. We hope to see you there!
· Wednesday, December 19this casual day for all participating students.
· Thursday, December 20this Christmas Spirit day where everyone is encouraged to dress in Christmas colours or Christmas-wear.
· Wednesday & Thursday is our monthly bake sale.
Gym – The students started the day doing gym with Mr. Orr, which you can read about on his blog (http://tysonorr.blogspot.com)
Inquiry into Math – We wrote our final unit test on Decimals today.
Inquiry into Language – We wrote our OWA post-assessment today.
The remainder of the day was spent doing rehearsals for our Christmas concert performance and making our props. We are excited for everyone to see on Tuesday.
Inquiry into the Human Body - We have a quiz on the heart next week.
For homework:
· Study for spelling test on Monday (lesson 14).
· Study for heart quiz this upcoming week.
All homework for the day is placed here, but time may have been given in class to complete this work.
