I hope you’re all having a wonderful week so far.
We have our annual book fair at the end of this month!
A few quick reminders:
· Tomorrow is a Day 4.
· Aftercare invoices for the month of October have come out and were due Friday, November 15th, 2019 (which is today). Any questions can be directed to Ms. Chiappetta at echiappetta@stjudesacademy.com
· Photos from picture day were sent home with week. Picture day retakes are occurring on November 20th (which is tomorrow).
· Our trip to the Warplane Museum is this Thursday, November 21st.
We started our day with the science fair awards assembly. Congratulations to all the winners in each class, and in our class – Rajan, Ahil, and Krina.
Inquiry into Math – We took up yesterday’s homework on combining fractions.
French – After this, we had French with Mme. Stella, which you can read about on her blog (https://stjudesfrench-stella.blogspot.com).
Art – Today, we took the first step in creating our hot air balloons by completing the paper mâché. Take a look at what a mess we made!
Inquiry into Math – After paper mâché, we cut out our fraction strips in preparation for the lesson tomorrow. We are going to be looking at adding and subtracting fractions using a number line.
Inquiry into Flight – Students worked on their projects regarding how society and the environment are affected by flying devices or vice versa. We will be presenting these tomorrow.
