Friday, November 29th

I hope you’ve all had a great week – term one is over! A reminder that report cards went home today.

A quick note…

A few quick reminders:
·      Monday is a Day 6.
·      Aftercare invoices for the month of October have come out and were due Friday, November 15th, 2019. Any questions can be directed to Ms. Chiappetta at echiappetta@stjudesacademy.com
·      Any unpaid invoices (lunch or aftercare) by Friday will result in report cards being withheld.
·      Pick-a-Time forms have been sent home with instructions on how to sign up for a time to meet during student-led conferences taking place next Thursday, December 5th. The site went live yesterday at 10:00 a.m.

We started the day by presenting our thinker awards! Congratulations to Adn!

After this, students were with Ms. Bancud while I rehearsed with the band. They worked on various items such as DRA surveys, OWA pre-assessments, IB Binders, reflections, and student-led conferences! We will be continuing this process next week.

French – After this, we had French with Mme. Stella, which you can read about on her blog (https://stjudesfrench-stella.blogspot.com).

In the afternoon, we had a technical and lighting rehearsal for Christmas Concert. It’s coming along so well and we’re really excited to share with you.

When we got back, we went to see the Grade 5 Ancient Civilization exhibit – it was so fascinating and we got to learn about various artifacts. Great job Grade 5s!

At the end of the day, we finished our checklist items as best as we could. We will pick up again next week during term two.

Students should be listening to our songs and rehearsing for Christmas Concert nightly. Here are the links for the song for our Christmas Concert song:

Homework:
  • Choose book for personal reading and read 30 minutes per day

We do our best to complete work in class. In the event this is not possible, it will go home for homework.

As always, please feel free to email me with any questions.
